As we move into the New Year, PFE is thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in our journey.
We’re in the process of building a brand-new head office and warehouse space located alongside our current headquarters in Witham, Essex, ideally situated between the Port of Felixstowe and London Gateway Port. This modern facility reflects our growth, ambition, and ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers, all the while reinforcing our roots in the local community.

We have grown year on year throughout our 40-year history, and this next chapter marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide exceptional service to our customers, supported by the security of our own purpose-built facility.”
A Space Designed for Growth
The new facility is a major investment in PFE’s future, offering a significant upgrade in capacity and capability, while offering enhanced operational flexibility. This purpose-built site is more than double the size of our current premises whilst trebling our pallet holdings, partly due to incorporating very-narrow-aisle (VNA) racking.
This expansion isn’t just about size – it’s about creating a facility that matches the evolving needs of our customers. For example, the warehouse will feature dedicated airfreight bays, bulk storage locations and two mezzanine areas for reworks, repackaging, and relabelling services. These purpose-built spaces mean we can handle special requests more efficiently, whether it’s correcting mislabelled cartons or handling unique out-of-gauge products.
Enhancing Collaboration and Efficiency
Internally, the new site represents a leap forward in how we work. Bringing together teams more closely under one roof will foster greater collaboration and streamline our operations. Expanded staff areas, state-of-the-art training rooms, and carefully designed departmental facilities will provide an environment where our people can thrive.
For our customers, the new site ensures that we continue to meet – and exceed – the excellent service standards you expect from PFE. From continued fast turnaround times to enhanced consolidation services, this facility allows us to optimise processes and maintain our reputation for efficiency and reliability.

What’s Next?
Construction is on track for completion this spring, with the internal fit-out expected to be finished by summer 2025. Our teams plan to move in shortly thereafter.
